To Cooler or Not to Cooler

Hi Guys,

Ive booked in for a trans flush as a preventative service action not due to any faults......

My service guy who is a ZF trans specialist rather that LR specialist is strongly suggesting I should change the trans cooler at the point of service????

What are you views on this, do you think its warranted???

Also with a trans flush some say change the filter, some insist not??

Cheers Guys

Cooler: It is probably a good idea, if you are going for a megaflush, but would drain then change it before doing any megaflushing to prevent any gunk in the cooler getting spread around.

Filter: Yes change the filter too, well worth dropping the sump to see what you have on the magnets !

Also, DO NOT clear gearbox adaptations.

SAINTV8 did a howto on the wiki (cooler) .
