Could well be the fuel pump playing up.

Have a search on here to see if your symptoms are the same... ______________________________

car now starts on the button but i can feel a slight missfire and engine now idles at around 950rpm , it wont rev without "bogging down" unless you move the accelerator really slowley , i have run my generic diagnostics software and the only coned shown were fuel trim too lean bank 1 and fuel trim too lean bank 2 ,,, Confused im hoping someone has an idea as im loosing my will to live at the min with it stuck at home

I'd check the Mass Airflow Meter. Sounds like it doesn't know how much fuel to put in or is getting an incorrect reading.

I don't know about the RR, but on the Jaguar engines, if you pull the plug off the MAF it defaults to an onboard profile rather than adjusting for metered air. If doing this improves the running then it prettymuch confirms the MAF as your fault.

Just unplug the MAF.
It'll still run without it plugged in. If it improves the pickup you've found the root cause. Thumbs Up 2012 Westminster 4.4 TDV8
