Gatwick South Terminal meet and greet parking

I'm due to fly from Gatwick South Terminal soon, and have booked meet & greet valet parking. The web site says there's a height restriction of 2 metres, which is fine in theory............
Has anyone used this terminal, and were there any access/height problems with your RR? Note that because it'll be driven off by the valet person, I can't lock it in crawl mode or anything.

No problems:

Very hard to handover a big car to a young bloke from the ex eastern block - actually I tracked them , and they were really gentle with my then newish car.

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Muddy field - they like having FFRR's as they can tow the other cars that get stuck Whistle

I just used Gatwick (North I think) overnight at the Sofitel parked at APH down the road and used the shuttle bus - no problem at all _ Sofitel was a bit expensive Geoff

I'd never use a meet and greet service as I just don't fancy handing the keys of my pride and joy to someone.

Have you ever watched ferris Bueller's day off? Lol.

I just pay a bit extra and park in the on site parking and take my keys with me.

Why would you do Meet and Greet when the Gatwick Airport long-term parking is less than 10 minutes by bus away?

I'd not trust any of my cars with a M&G service, but this is just my opinion. Si. <This is my name.

If you've ever watched the inbetweeners, there's a 'bus' expression that springs to mind Whistle

Why would you park at all when there's a good train service ? Laughing

There's no right answer with parking - i generally pay more & walk when I park at airports - have done the meet & greet thing if it's cheaper, but otherwise I'd rather park myself.

Hi, When I parked with them they kerb one of my alloys which I did not see as it was raining when it was handed back.

Pay the extra and park it your self where there are cameras.

I have used both North and South parking, and you are right, the web does say 2m headroom, but the Full Fat does fit.

I have used abcgatwick.co.uk for years

They emailed me a code PARK2018 to get 15% off

For the record I don’t care where the driver’s from but in my experience all the drivers are middle aged / mature Brits, some of whom are grumpy, some cheerful, but never had an issue of any sort with my car or with their staff.

At North terminal you don’t enter a car park, they are waiting for you on the drop off lay-bys. South terminal must be the same.

Thank you millerj90 for actually answering my question!
I'm going on a golfing trip with two buddies, we're taking our own clubs plus of course our normal luggage for a week away. So the train is definitely out (also there's no trains at the time we return). We decided we didn't want to lug bags plus golf bags from the long stay, whereas meet & greet is a short under cover walk to the terminal.
Now, I was very apprehensive about meet & greet but my golf partners have used this company many times with zero problems (Purple Parking). They actually track their cars whilst away and they assure me the car doesn't move. The guy that picks it up does a walk around video before driving off, and another one on return. Oh, and the guy is not a Romanian! Finally we got a price of £48 for a week which seems good.
Anyway, we'll see, it's all booked now. I'll report back and let you know how it went (not the golf, that will be as frustrating as ever!).

Just make a note of your mileage.... I parked there last year and it turned out they parked my car 17 miles away ... on a farm - dash cams don’t lie....

Not happy so park and ride appears better.

I've used Purple before, albeit from Luton and didn't have any problems.

Not entirely sure how far away, or where the car was parked, but I got to the airport, unloaded my bags right outside the terminal and handed over the key. On return, I called them as soon as I had my bags and the car was waiting outside as I walked out Thumbs Up
