Im sure i read a thread where one of the mechanics on here replaced one at the side of the road and think you can get to one through the wheel arch but dont know how easy it would be! Not much help really! Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue |

Thanks for the heads up , time won’t be an issue I’ll just take it steady , may have to wait for a improvement in the temperature though as it’s a bit chilly at the moment, cheers |

The bearing is white metal and in theory should have an infinite life span.

Just my experience , my 2007 had 140k miles on it, oil changed every 8 to 10k kilometres and was like new at every change. Left hand turbo snapped its shaft, luckily the snapped part fell into exhaust. I stopped the car due to amount of white smoke and had both.turbos replaced and all good. My indie dropped engine to change turbos. 2015 4.4 AB

Thanks gents. Interesting feedback. I keep wondering whether to buy spare turbos now while I have the cash. I’m sure I won’t if it happens down the track. Mine has 275,000km or 170,000miles. ______________________________

Diff and subframe didn't come off on mine im sure and i saw him daily but he did struggle getting a few bolts in though.I also covered the oil lines with a heat wrap as they run close to the turbos and was told can affect the oil feed to them.

Got the exhaust disconnected and the drivers side (right) one is full of oil the other one is dry , struggling to get the top bolts which connect the turbo to the manifold .
