So wasn't sure but had faith in the beast looking after me.
Left Glasgow 3.30am and stocked up on plenty of chocolate and food and juice with a wee coffee to hand
Car stocked with blanket and snow shovel in car with me!! Plenty of water in the schooshers with lots of deicer and some left over in the boot neat.
Did a few scary moments with blizzards where the road disappeared and basically visibility down to 10ft at 30-50mph but overall a good journey until I got toe Snakes Pass and it was shut, so nice little B road for Paul and then onto an A Road. Some decent scenery actually along the B & A roads after Mottram.
Helpful with lorries etc. But think next winter I'll invest in a set of 20's and winter tyres but overall my tyres are low and it chewed through all the outside lane over taking needed and a few back roads!!
Left sheffield at 2pm. home for 8.
