The diff being reported as locking indicates that the electronics are instigating the locking, so the cause wont be related to oil viscosity. |

Could this be a feature of Terrain response 2, i.e. does it still do that if you select 'normal drive' manually? I recall reading that in colder weather TR2 automatically selects 'grass gravel snow'. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

+1 mine is in manual mode permanently - I noticed the lock-up when pulling out of junctions on full lock or with a wet road surface. Manual mode cured it. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

I have the automatical terrain response. I will try to go on manual mode to avoid it.

Central diff is blocking when fresh started during the first kilometers. Every corner the car is grabbing on the axles when I touch the trottle. even gently. This is not normal.

I have exactly the same with my car. It has an extended warranty and they will supposedly be looking at it, but initial response is that it's a known issue, resolved by changing they diff oil twice apparently?! |
