This may have been covered , but what is the tiny whirring sound coming from inside the dash all the time, when everything is off Imsure it must be draining the battery in this time of need .

I certainly have that too, so I assume it's normal!

When I've sat in there for a long time, it does eventually switch off, so I'm sure when you lock the doors it will switch off.

Around 15 minutes when the systems go into standby. Bursts back into life when you open the door!
Been there done that so you don't have to lose 15 minutes of your life checking it out.

It could be the small fan pulling air into the air sensor on the heater unit. It’s behind the vent in between the left most knobs....
