Australia 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Atacama Sand
Looked serious but an easy fix.

This morning I got in the FF put the key in and the steering wheel when slowly into position the gauges went strange a light warning came up, starter dead, so switched it to off. The key wouldn’t release. The steering wheel stayed lower. Checked battery voltage all ok. Strange as last drove yesterday without issue.

Got in again switch turned, same strange dash response. Starter still dead. Steering came back up and key released.

Doors locked slowly. By this time I’m thinking maybe another alternator or maybe starter. Get the spinner out to unhook the battery to do a hard reset. Straight away I noticed the positive was loose. But wouldn’t tighten. So loosened it up further, pushed it further on to the tapered terminal and tightened clamp.

An easy fix. Yey. ______________________________

That's a good result.

When I had my L322's with one of them I also had several recurring suspension faults - I found that if I disconnected the battery it used to clear them - I always keep a 10mm spanner in the glovebox just in case 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Another example of these cars being particularly voltage sensitive. ______________________________

I think it goes with most modern machinery - I had the same issue with a 24 volt 15 ton excavator, a loose battery connection stopped play Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
