Just imagine what the vehicle line up would look like if you didn’t have the horses! I’m in a very similar situation to you and I often contemplate the very same thing!

Like the compact tractor. Is it a Kubota? Had to fit a new battery to mine at the weekend. It didn't want to come out and play Smile

So that's where my problem is. Between parents and I there's quite a few boats afloat...

My big RIB and the L322 S/C might be on a par for fuel consumption when driven carefully, but the RIB will easily outstrip it if you drive fast!

This fella burns 600 litres which gets you 130 nautical miles down the coast.
Worth every penny though, you can go from somewhere really nice, to somewhere even nicer.

 Cheers, Greg

Very nice Greg, the perfect partner to a FF RR! I do start to worry though when things get less than 1l/NM... Even cruising at 30kn my big RIB will comfortably beat that, so something like Poole -> Penzance -> Poole still only costs ~£400, and definitely beats any bank holiday traffic!

Our larger boats are sailing yachts, which are much more economical Smile. Even though when required we do use the motor given time constraints and the need to get back to the office, even in a 3 week holiday and ~700 miles we will only use maybe 100l of diesel. But it does go much slower...
