So last weekend I advertised my beloved TDV8 L322 on the fleaBay and, after being bombarded with all sorts of questions and offers, within less than 48hours it was sold for the list price.

In the advert I'd stated that I'd add a fresh MOT, which i thought as a no-brainer as I figured it would sail through.
Front left rubber gator failed it so it got replaced.... by the MOT garage.

By this stage the car was sold and arrangement were being made for it's collection.

I hadn't touched the car since taking it for it's MOT as the garage kept it and dropped it off once they changed the gator and performed a re-test.
On the day it was due to be collected I got in it to find "Suspension Fault".

I had to let the buyer know as he was sending a driver to just do some simple checks and the car would not have been as I had described.
The buyer pulled out for not knowing how serious or not the cause was and this was understandable.

This morning a LR trained technician came to have a look and this is what he done:

Plugged in the diagnostic tool
Started the car
Turned the steering wheel the left
Walked round to exposed wheel arch, reached in a moved the suspension sensor with just one finger
Walked back round and cleared the faults
Performed various checks with the car before handing me back the keys

The fix took no longer than 3 minutes!!!

The car is back up for sale now.

As much as I'd like to advertise it here, I don't feel it's fair as I'm only an occasional visitor of the site and I'd feel that I'm taking the .

Moral of the story - MOT garages are just that!!! Let them do the MOT - nothing else, unless you've got history with them.

I’m sure you can appreciate how you end up answering all sorts of silly questions from a number of peculiar names.
It is afterall a black Range Rover with black windows...

When I had it sold, it was bought by an independent LR specialist based in the Midlands. The suspension thing just spooked him though.

The cars been treated well from day 1 and not had a tough life.
It’s been very good at looking after me and my family and I know it’s silly but I don’t want it to go to someone I know is simply going to abuse and wreck it.

Let’s see how the sale goes.
