Deployable steps or not?

Thinking of putting deployable steps on my s/c what is the opinion of the group good or bad enhancement ?

Excellent addition, makes entering and leaving easier because the step deploys lower than fixed, makes the lines of the car much nicer when retracted and the best for last , how cool !!!!

I had them on my previous FF and didn't like them, as they always hit my shins when they extended out!

At 6"5 I don't really need them, but my girlfriend (at the time of owning the car with them) thought they were amazing, as she is about 5"7!

Current FF is without them and they are not missed!

They are very cheap nowadays so i have ordered them I am 6ft 4 so may well have the same problem but my wife is 5ft6in and she would like them so really not sure why I even bothered asking the question

Well they were only just over 400 quid and no doubt when I sell it the bing factor will help rather than hinder and they can be switched off so we shall see

My 2 tips for happiness Very Happy

Don’t try to get out too quickly and the back of your calves will be safe.

Don’t open the door and lean in to get something from the centre console

You just convinced me to be happy with the fixed running boards on my car, they don't catch you out and help to keep the car clean. I find them very useful and for me are plus point when buying. 2010 FF 4.4 TDV8 Vogue - Gone

I used to laugh at them - now I have them they are the best accessory on the car, and look good. Mine operate quickly and as soon as the door handle is operated they deploy, no waiting is involved. If you knock your shins on them that's your fault. They are there to stand on and not lean over - use them Very Happy 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I guess I’m just too young and fit - maybe when I’m older I’ll use them Whistle Laughing

They aren’t that quick to turn back on - need to do it when you start the cat - I expected to die able to manually deploy/retract but can’t seem to do that.
