Battery replacement

Ok so finally got fed up with jump starting and fitted a new battery.first thing open bonnet SNAP the bloody cable went out with the grips bonnet open . Disconnected old bosch battery and lifted it out .White van pulled up with a very nice Irish gent wanting to sell me some of the best tools on the planet so you can guess what his reply was ,he went off muttering how he hated effing celts .This actually made me laugh and releived the tension . Anyway back to the job in hand local motor factor had a yuasa 5000 019 110a fitted perfect and started engine no probs . Engine cranks a lot faster than I have been getting with old battery.turned off engine and with ignition on put everything electrical on and left her for 15 mins turned key and Engine fired right up no noticeable difference in crank speed.has anyone else used these batteries before? Would just like to make sure they are suitable .For around £100 I think it's a good deal .Into day 3 now no probs beginning to relax now when I come to start her .New bonnet cable ordered.The wee man from donigal has not came back {shame}😢

Not sure which year you have but later year L322s had AGM batteries as standard. On my 2011 the initial charge voltage is programmed at 14.7 volts which is too high for a wet battery and will exceed the recommended 6.0 amp charge rate of your yuasa 5000 019 110a and may damage the battery longer term.

Not sure what batteries pre 2010 have as standard

I thought the 020 was 110A and the 019 was 100A but I'm wrong about a lot of things! Embarassed 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Yes amps 100 for some reason predictive tex has a mind of its own . Bonnet cable fixed today all good only struggle was getting engine bay nipple out of carrier .So are you saying that this battery will not do ?

It should be fine for that year but just worth checking what the charging voltage is. IIRC it should be about 14.2V or thereabouts 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Yes voltage 14.2 .I have tried to kill this battery leaving lights on etc and she still turns engine fast as .So realy pleased {at the moment}
