Don't use furniture dye. There is specific leather dye for car leather, I have found these guys to be the best, they give you a nice thick dye that really just needs 1 or 2 coats. It's very easy to use too - you can sponge onto a small scuff, crack or worn bolster or steering wheel then hit it with a hairdryer, or if doing a full seat simply use a small gloss paint roller, then the hairdryer. The finish will be matt - like new.

Those will be semi aniline seats so need a different process called conolising as they arent just painted like the non perforated leather ones. Possibly somone has painted them in the past and the cleaner has just lifted it off. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

Australia 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Atacama Sand

I that’s a symptom of vehicle age. I did something similar with a good name leather cleaner (can’t recall which one). It got the ground in dirt out of the colour but took some colour/ paint with it in one spot and made another spot worse.

I will repaint one day with a furniture clinic kit. ______________________________

I think you will need the seat "connolised" DrRob. Got mine done when I bought it, was £200 for both front seats. A guy came out.

Once you sort it out, use laundry Woolite for regular cleaning, diluted to 25/75 purified water and you will be amazed how well it cleans. I have the same ivory perforated seats as you and I get blue jean dye transfer - which the Woolite removes.

Bear in mind I have had mine connolised and the Woolite cleans but does not affect the dye/colour that the connolising has put on. So it's super safe.

Costs peanuts but works incredible well. I really like the smell it leaves too.

I posted a youtube video of it a while back, I'll see if I can find it.
. Cheers, Greg

Found his details:

Roy Trimline
trimlinesystems01@btinternet.com

He was ok the price was a little high. But he did a good job and I think their real skill is colour matching. Stock colours don't work that well because everything fades. So the colour matching needs to be done on the car.

What you can also do is ask the dealer you bought it off who they use. Or any decent looking dealer. All dealers have a guy.

Good luck!

. Cheers, Greg
