I sold my 3.6 today and it's going away early next week, now I need to replace it. My budget may just stretch to a 4.4 TDV8 model - if I can buy an early car (2010) with miles and not at dealer retail price...though even some of the private adverts I look are asking more than trade!?

So, looking for a good value 4.4 TDV8. Not interested in black with big wheels or silver.. if you have anything you are thinking of selling, please message me! My budget is around £15k.

I see more and more 4.4s coming in under 20k. I saw one for 15500 last week pop up on Autotrader. Set up search alerts on CarGurus, News Now, eBay, all the sites - put in your parameters and then be patient. Will help if you are flexible on exterior and interior colour of course.

Someone on the forum here was offering one for 16-17k a few weeks back - mainly because he'd spared no expense maintaining it but had been given a lousy trade in price. He wanted it to go to an enthusiast. Have a trawl here - but bear in mind forum cars tend to be 20k up - because they're top notch cars.

2011 Vogue SE 4.4 with lots of toys in Stornaway

I went to an auction yesterday to see a 2008 VSE, it had a warning message on start up, "engine system malfunction/fault".. I bought a £18k RRS last year at auction and got yellow/red warnings on the way home and a few issues to sort.. no, I just feel all the cars in the auction are there for an ominous reason. I'd rather buy from a private or dealer.
