Any update on the park brake issue?

I spoke with the dealer about it and they told me to drive it over the weekend and see if it fixes itself, said it could be lack of use and it may reset or cure itself, if not, I've to contact them on Monday and go from there.

They MoT'd it the day before they sold it, there are no advisory items on the test, but I think otherwise.. I can hear some rattling at the front.. lower arms and roll bar bushes, drop links and ball joints, noises from both sides, I suspect there are at least two items from that lot - the 3.6 I just sold was like one solid piece when it moved along a bumpy road, this one is not, and I hate that...especially as my driveway is a near 1mile long bumpy track. Sorry to hear that TDSIX....interesting to see what your investigations reveal!

TD Six, I've heard that the parking brake needs to be regularly used, rather than rely on automatic release and application. I always "raise" and "lower" it manually for that reason; so you might find a few applications like that will solve the problem.
I must say that, for me, automatic handbrakes are a convenience feature I could do without.

@TDSIX....did the handbrake sort itself out?

It seems to be behaving itself now. Just my front suspension (a couple of joints or bushes), the rest of the car seems to be fine.

I'm enjoying having it, but dare I say, I think my old 3.6 drove better - suspension was tight as a drum and it was mapped. I'm going to get my suspension sorted and look at a mild remap, see if I can get the same torque at 2000revs that we see at 3000..that would liven it up without straining the gearbox. 2010 FF 4.4 TDV8 Vogue - Gone

Best colour, perhaps. Classy, hides dirt, and shines in a Werther’s sort of a way when polished. I’m a Nara man myself.
