Hi Folks,
My car gives a suspension fault regularly and needed resetting.
I've tried swapping the piston ring and this made very little difference.
It seems my compressor bore is scored and needs replacement.
If I run my finger up the boar all the walls feel "bellyed out" in the middle slightly.

Can anyone give me a second opinion as to if these are BER please? (see below).
Also - where does one get a replacement head without paying silly money please?

Pretty certain you won't find a replacement cylinder on the market. You will need a new compressor, but you can get one without the turtle shell, just the basic compressor to fit.

As you are not sure what your issue is, have you completely disassembled your compressor, every part, cleaned and dried the dessicant. I would before I shelled out on a new one 2007 TDV8 VSE

The last time I saw a cylinder for sale it was £165, and that was a few years ago, I haven't seen anything since. Remembering that £300 will get a complete everything inc. case, it really isn't worth messing about trying to fix a compressor that's worn.

You replace the cylinder, what next? motor, dryer, valve block... Just isn't worth it Bud  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Looks like there is finally a Ping Pong compressor! I was going to say NO, but the I read that they'd slimed down the model years 2002-2005 which is correct for the Wabco compressor... after that they went Hitachi and then something else..

I can't see why you shouldn't except if it goes Pete Tong you'd have to send it to Germany... think I'd try and find a UK supplier  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
