i think most of us understand the 40+mpg bit..

Just quoting Leyland LPG conversions when i enquired.

If i get 20mpg on log hauls and LPG is half the cost of petrol and returns a simular MPG then dont see 40 can be a million miles away.

It's not a problem really, just some people say it's not 40mpg. It's 20mpg but with fuel at half the price.
Personally I couldn't care less as it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

You say its a Vogue Autobiography - there's no such thing AFAIK... Which makes it difficult to justify the 40% overpice...

Plenty of RR's on ebay with a BIN of 14K, but they are from traders or have been listed many times before. 

Must be nails, as every 1 is saying they are in short supply at the mo.

It was understood, but I have a 4.4 running on LPG, and get 25mpg equivalent. I would think 20mpg from a 4.4 would be optimistic, then take of 20% for LPG, and allow for the fact that it's not half the price. Apologies though, I didn't mean to hijack the thread and turn it into a debate on the relative economy of LPG, sounds like a fantastic car, and as you say, a great prospect for an LPG conversion.

I'm going to jump on this hijack - if you've only getting 12.5mpg on LPG then I would imagin you have a problem. I get 16 on a really bad day, 18 usually and 22+ on the m-way using cruise... 

Gone are the days when you could just post what you had for sale without the need to justify the price/spec it seems.

However just to keep people happy i've looked at prices both on the Autotrader and Pistonheads and there are indeed cheaper (lower spec / higher in most cases) and there are also dearer cars.

Agreed you are totally justified in asking what you believe to be the correct price for you car. Ebay "Sold" information is really not a good indicator of market selling prices whether Dan believes that or not.

Ebay is where the cars that cannot sell easily (dross) eventually sell at rock bottom prices. All good cars go tend to go reasonably quickly via Autotrader & Piston Heads.

I sell quite a few cars and place adverts with the big three. However I very rarely sell via Ebay as in my opinion Ebay is really only for bargain hunter deals not market value cars and I nearly always sell my quality stock quickly via the "other" two within two weeks.

Not having a go Dan but you frequently refer to eBay "Sold" prices which are not particularly relevant considering above and IMHO similar data from Autotrader & Pistonheads would show considerably higher prices. The information we pay for from CAP and Glass's uses real market trade activity and is normally very close to the mark.

Just my take anyway
