Your'e spending probably £100k and they send you a video like that, FFS they should be sho!. Honestly if my dealer sent me that I'd be on the phone chewing their ear off for total and utter complacency.

That’s different Thumbs Up

I wish there were an option on my 17MY to do away with some of the irrelevant speeds and space the rest out a bit - space for 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 would be nice to have. I wonder if they have thought of that, especially having put “170” and even 180 there! Rolling Eyes

I will collect on the 2nd March
I asked the dealer to send a quick video of when it lands
A far more professional video of when it has been throughPDI will also be sent
This better had be decent video otherwise I will not be happy

As soon as I realised it was Houghton-le-spring I was not at all shocked, especially after my experience with them at the end of last year

Hi mate,
Not nice when you have a bad experience with a dealer, I know I had with my previous one!!!!.

I am actually not that bothered about the standard of this video, just wanted to share with you the fact it was where it was supposed to be.

To be to fair Houghton they have bent over backwards to help me during the time i have been without a car.

They are not touching the vehicle other than PDI which they have to do.

They are doing another video presentation once it has been through PDI

I have given them strict instructions on how i want the car to be presented to me, I bet the sales guy thinks i am a complete lunatic, so it won't look perfect until it is has been ceramic coated on the 3rd March.

The guy who ceramic coating the car is getting some promotional shots/Video done which he said i can have copies, this video and photos are the ones i am really waiting for.

Cant wait to collect it on March 2nd, i nearly give in over the weekend and collected it earlier

Is this Ceramic Coating worth doing?

I've had Swiss Wax done once before on a Ferrari but wasn't massively impressed and was later told it should really be re-applied every 3 months - Is it the same with Ceramic Coating and how much does it cost?

Thanks

From what i have been told ceramic is the hardest of sealants, if applied properly can protect car for at least 3 years without the need to polish.
I have been told washing it becomes easier as nothing sticks to it, he has even told me to buy a leaf blower so I don't even need to touch it with a towel, really sad i know but i love doing this type of thing.

The car will have everything protected including glass, plastic and wheels. I am also having the interior protected as well.

This will cost me about £600.00 as it is a friend of mine is doing it. It will take 2 full days to complete.

I have been quoted upwards of £900.00 for same job by other guys, this isn't about money for me it is about trusting the guys who are doing it and i trust this lad totally.

hope this helps

Steve
