My wife carries a spare when we go away - as I cant be trusted

I was told by the dealers, they can no longer get copy keys for my car 2017, something to do with security issue, ie when someone stands out side the house and copies... now totally impossible for both you/me and mr thieving bar steward .

choice number 4, look after your key so it doesnt get lost..

Bill, any JLR dealer can code keys to your car sir... They simply have to plug your car in and let LR factory view your data then they respond with a code for your module to accept a key coding...
