I too have found Tesco Insurance markedly cheaper, currently using them on a 2007 SC. I do wonder if they're land grabbing business as a strategy. |

Tesco seem to be very competitive at the moment, moved to them at the end of last year after 8 years with Admiral/Elephant. Cheaper by well over 150! Tom

Just got my renewal in from Tesco, £486, up from £430 last year, with no change in my circumstances.

I'm amazed you managed to get through to Tesco. I've been trying for a few days now. |

Just wondering what could possibly be so much better than a “spotless” Baltic Blue Westie ??? |

To answer the question that keeps getting asked, insurance companies normally lose money on the premium that they collect in year one. To stay in business, they need to take a view that they will make a living through cost increases in years 2 and 3. As long as only a small number of people do what we all do every year, then it works. They could keep the price in line with their first year’s price and they’d, likely as not, keep most of their renewal business but go bust in the process! |

I have read in today’s times that the e mail address makes a difference to insurance cost...
