Door handle

Ok sorry folks first post and it's a question! But I know you'll be able to help Bow down

I just joined the club and bought a FFRR after previously having a RRS. Anyway I have a problem with the passenager side door handle the cap seems very loose and moves around and the whole handle feels like it's going to come off in your hand if you yank it too hard. Has anyone encountered this before?? Any way I can try and fix this without having to take the door card off?

All help greatly appreciated!

Is it a standard/genuine handle as far as you can see? No one's stuck on a nasty chrome cover etc?

HI the cap has a screew(torx) that is accessed from the door shut, it is covered by a rubber grommit, but with the handle, is it just the the handle that is loose or the hole unit handle and backing, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

It's the whole handle unit that is loose, I have changed the handles on my old RRS so was looking for that screw, but couldn't see it, although it was pretty dark, I'll have another look when I get home tonight and see if I that sorts it. Otherwise I guess it's door card off time, great! Big Cry

if its the cap it can be tightened as long as its not damaged , the handle unlike the sport you have to remove the whole unit from inside the door, that means you will need to take the door card off and you will be able to see the bolts, the door card is not hard at all 3 screws V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

I got home fairly late last night, but still wanted to try and tighten the cap screw as this would be an easy fix. Anyway the freezing conditions last night didn't help as the door was frozen shut, once I managed to open it, found the screw and tighten as best I could and it seemed to do the job, I think over the weekend I'll have a proper look when it's not 0 degrees and pitch black! Thanks again for all your help. Bow down
