Am looking to replace all 4 tyres and are considering the above options as a good mid range tyre.

Both can be had for around £130/tyre (255/50/20) and look pretty decent.

Anyone have a preference or recommendation? Either look or perform better than the other?

Two Crugens on my sport have sidewall failure at different times.........

Front nearside and rear off side so no common cause i.e. Pot holes etc where both on one side would be damaged

To be fair the first one was refunded by Kumho but after the second one happened I won't buy cheaper brands again

No certainties in life but lesson learned for me

Pirelli Scorpion are a good choice but are close to another £200 more than the Grabber GT`s.

To throw a spanner in the works, I`ve just done an online quote at Just tyres and a set of 4 Nexen Roadian HP is coming in at £410 fitted etc (after an online discount code). I might end up going with those given the FF doesn`t do much mileage these days.

Had Scorpion Zero's on mine and they were very close to the limit , just swapped all 4 for Grabber AT3's and am extremely impressed by them. Very quiet, look good, and really grippy. Some people comment on their handling in the corners but I haven't had any issues. Granted I'm not doing track days, but I like 'to make progress"
Paid about £145 each corner inclusive of everything and would definitely recommend them.

My Rangie had Privato Sport Green tyres on her when I bought it. I’d never heard of them but they wore out very quickly. I was going to put them on again as they’re cheap, but after a lot of research decided on the Cooper SRX. Awesome tyre, very grippy, not noisey and work well on the beach, graded roads and gravel/rocky terrain.

Totally different driving experience and well worth the extra expense.

had nexans on my previous RR. Was not impressed always had the idea they were under inflated and were not so stable on roundabouts. Got Coopers Zeon LTC on now for the third time, little noicy, but great roadholding and look sturdy.

In the end I went with General Grabber GT.

£525 for a set which I though was a very good price. It’s early days (and my old tyres were shagged) but so far I’m really pleased with these. Had an alignment done as I had replaced and NS ball joint the other week. Have to say the handling has improved significantly after the tyres and alignment.

Haven’t checked what there were inflated to but what PSI should I be running with?

went with GT 275/45/20.
