Scotland 2005 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Zermatt Silver

Hi guys, just joined the forum, don’t have a FFRR yet but actively looking for one for my son Andy who stays near Coupar Angus, Scotland, we’ve done a bit of homework on the forums to gauge what to look out for, his budgets around £5k, we’ve looked at a few, a couple stand out, a very nice 2002 4.4 V8 HSE with low miles at 79k, and a 2005 4.4 V8 Vogue with 104k both look reasonable in the pictures and have a good history, i must admit i like the 2002 better, its had the modification to the front diff and full service history and only two very careful owners, Not inspected or driven either yet thats going to be the next step.

We’re not new to JLR, I have a Discovery and had a few Defenders going back 20+ years, no doubt being retired and according to Andy “have loads of time on my hands” i will be the one that gets his hands dirty fixing things.

Any advice on what to look out for would be a great help and much appreciated, Mike at MMP, Dundee is a brilliant guy and has already given a bit of advice on what to look out for on the V8’s cheers for the help Mike.

Cheers guys will let you know how we get on with our search and put up some pics if we get one.

Edit 7/1/18

Well we did it, Andy got a stunning FFRR Vogue 4.4 V8, last owner for 10 years, 104k great service file, very clean car inside and out, no faults, everything works as it should, purrs just like a well lubricated pussy! Just done a 360 mile round trip to pick it up North of Scotland, pretty cold and snowy -11 on the road up, not as cold as Canada tho! Just needs a clean to wash off the muck from on the way home and were ready to go, love it already.

Thumbs Up

Hi all, I've just taken the plunge and bought a 13" td6 Vogue se. I think I got a good deal considering the many options (5k worth I believe) she has and the good price I got for my 14' Grand Cherokee, no pain roof tho" 😞. I'm expecting great things and very much looking forward to the drive home on Wednesday. Cheers 👍

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Supercharged 5.0 SC V8 Stornoway Grey

Good evening all - I'm looking at selling my 110 SW TD5 and buying a Supercharged L322 instead, so doing lots of reading and learning as much as I can from the forum.

Fiance and I went and looked at a 2009 Overfinch last weekend, and whilst I don't like the Overfinch extras myself, we both loved the general look and feel and interior of the L322. Definitely very different to a Defender!

Will keep hunting around for a suitable 4.2 or 5.0l vehicle.

Thanks for the advice - very nice, and definitely the sort of thing I'm looking for, probably in grey though.

Having only owned Defenders all my life, this really will be a big change. I will be sad to lose my Defender in some ways (although still have a Series 1 in the garage), but have always loved the L322's, so will be very excited to find one and get to know it!

Hi all, just joined after browsing for some time.
I've had a few ffrrs in the past though not at present (the wife drives an evoque so still in the family).
Currently looking for a full spec L322 black edition.

Cheers, John.
