Quick question - whats your thoughts on this? Im in the market for a new 4.4 A/B. I Like the new features on the 18my, and happy to wait a few months to get the delivery - but not sure if its worth the delta between the build price of a new 18my, minus a few K discount, and picking up a late 17my stock build for a discount in the region of 10-12 %.

MY18 for me

Given the fact that you'll probably be able to get at least 5% on the MY18 Id go for the new one  2016 SDV8 Autobiography
And several others previously.

The MY17 will of course cost you less now but when you come to sell, this saving will be cancelled out by it then been seen as the older model.

In short, if for example you save £8k on new now, expect to achieve around £8k less at time of re-sale..... So you might as well order new, have the latest car with latest tech.

I faced the same dilemma myself last October and ordered 2018MY

Presumably the MY17 is pre-built whereas the MY18 is to order (your spec)....

When talking about relative % discounts, don’t forget to factor in the price increases on both the car and the accessories with the MY18 which, like for like, would have added around £5,000 to the price of my September 17 car
