My "All in one place" fault list....

Evening all,

I have a 2012 Westminster that has a few issues (most of them appear to be quite common). Whilst I have and will continue to search the forum for the answers I thought I'd put them all on one thread. Maybe I will get my answers here or it might help others when searching.

1) "Blind Spot Monitoring not available" - I get the two cars in the drivers mirror on startup then a constant amber dot which doesn't go away at speed. Nothing appears in the passenger mirror at all.

2) Parking sensors - Put it in reverse and I get the beep with 6 flashes on the button. No noises or flashes from the front or rear when approaching an object. I have tried to listen to each sensor but can't hear anything from any of them (engine is running as I can't select reverse without it on?). The module in the passenger side of the boot appears to be bone dry, although I haven't taken it apart.

3) Front passenger door locking - If the car has been double locked the front passenger door won't unlock from the remote (only with the key or the handle inside). Once open it will lock with the remote.

4) Key fob falling apart - Glue it back together or fit new rubbers (£8 or so on the internet).

5) Wind noise from drivers door - the noise is low down on the window. I think I will play around with some tape to see what happens. There is a piece of trim where the roof meets the windscreen that isn't fully secure, although that is much higher up than where the noise is.

I think that is it in terms of things that need to be fixed. If anyone wants to answer one or more of the above that would be great, I will keep looking through the forum and trying out what I find.

Thanks!

Alex.

Unnecessary quote removed

re point 1 - I take it this was a factory added option as my Westminster doesn't have this?

re point 2 - did you solve this as mine in intermittently now doing this (typically on wet days), main dealer says it has registered faults on the OBD but want £400 authorisation to investigate prior to being able to raise a warranty claim...

Hope you get the rest sorted as they are lovely cars Smile

Blind spot sorted last weekend, took the mirror apart and found a bad soldered connection. 5 minutes later and it is working as it should.

Parking sensors are down to two individual sensors (see photo). I guess I will be taking the bumper off when it stops raining and hoping that it is just a simple wiring issue.

Door lock is back to normal now, I think it just became a bit stiff but having used it manually a few times it seems to have freed up nicely.
