Had a freinds stag do in Aberystwyth on saturday night. Parked my Rangy outside the hotel, only to find when I returned this morning some little has run a key down the side, nice and deep to primer and metal! What is wrong with people?

Exactly what I was going to say - Jealousy. No place is immune from neds/vandals, even in the country.

Feel for you Chap, not good at all. Have to say that Aberystwyth is like that though. Full of mongs and also full of students who have access to alcohol that they can't handle.

The place would benefit massively from a nuclear hit.

It would be best for all concerned if I never find out who did it! Loads of other cars parked with no damage so could well be a student 'Eco warrior'. If only they knew how I make a living... have planted and maintained around 10,000 apple trees over the last 10 or so years.... Must have a negative carbon footprint by now!!
Have reported it mainly just to get a crime number for insurance, but to be fair the Aber police are taking it more seriously than I thought, and are supposedly going to knock on a few doors of the student accomodation right next to where my car was parked. Not expected any joy though. Im guessing it would be best to go the bodyshop route rather than scratch and chip specialists as the key mark is so deep?

To be fair, the Aber Police are pretty good. They're well used to dealing with the local mongs and also extremely well versed in drunken students. That's about all there is in Aber anyway.

Bodyshop all the way. Smart repair will never look right on damage that bad.

I've had it down to all of my cars over the last 3 years, Mazda RX8, Jaguar S-Type, Smart Roadster Brabus Coupe, unfortunately these SCUM just don't appreciate a car that is looked after.... Hope the repair cost isn't too bad....

I just dont understand the mentality of the little feckers. There have been times in the past when I didnt have a pot to in, but never damaged anyone elses property in spite. Little bastards! Im just glad I didnt catch them in the act, I wouldnt care if it was man or woman, they would have been crawling from the scene in extreme pain.

Sorry to hear about this sidney. T rs the lot of them. Happened to use a few years ago and it's costly if you have to start have 1/2/3 panels painted.
