DVD changer issues

Hi all I have 2006 td6 range rover vogue
The DVD player does not eject I have tried the press and tap the cassette trick but nothing
Replacing with like for like is £350 -£500 on fleabay
My question is has anybody changed this unit for a non range rover alpine or other dvd changer without having to change the nav and head unit ??

Mine needed much more of a really hard thump than a tap to free it off!

Best wishes
Glen

Take it apart and clean the mechanism. The white grease used goes waxy after a while and jams it up. Use a bit of Vaseline on it. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

as said before while holding the eject button in, a good bash( next to the button) or two should fix it . i had to do this a couple of times but it works ......looks like no3 slot is the problem.....i dont use 3 anymore and not had a problem with it since

ok so i have tried everything then i got technical pinned out all outputs etc, annnndddd..... IT DEAD
so i have seen some on a well known auction site Rolling Eyes starting at £300 up to £560

Stan's idea would be great but id like to keep the audio CD and DVD separate and using the original functions, on that note i bought 2ch IR headphones from amazon 3 pairs for £20 happy days work perfectly also bought two of the retro game pads to plug into the aux inputs in the back its a shame nobody has made an adapter cable for a cheaper DVD changer. it is something i may look at.

being as i own an AV company and we make bespoke hotel remote controls i think im going to look at creating a replacement remote for the Landy that wont need a small mortgage to replace....
