Is 155k too much for a range rover?

Just wondered what you guys would value a vogue se (55 plate) TD6 FFRR and would this still be a sound buy given the milage?

Any help would be great.

155k for a range rover , just slightly over priced Very Happy .....

you mean mileage, i have 120k 0 my 2005 and its going well, mind you i got service history with it and it had a new gearbox a year ago...the gearboxs at that mileage need to have to been changed or you will have problems..price wise i wouldnt pay more than £13/14k for it.

As Scarey says I wouldn't pay much more than £14k. I may be wrong but if it has a good service history etc mileage doesn't really affect much. Obviously the higher the mileage the more things can go wrong. If it was me personally I would be looking for lower miles but If you're happy with it and feel it's all ok I would go for it.

Thanks folks....

Milage doesnt bother me if the cars been looked after...

Is there anything else other than the gearbox that I should be asking the service guys about?

if its been service regularly then [hopefully] all the bits associated with wear would have been done..

the FFRR is heavy on electronics so check all the 'gadgets' work.

I agree with Scarey on the electronics. I have a 06 FFRRand every month I seem to be replacing something electronic, this month was the adaptive front headlamp module. It should have been £30 but the part was recently superceeded and now costs £115!!! I also need to sort a problem out with my sat nav tmc module as that looks broken too...

In general if it looks as if it has been cared for the mileage shouldn't matter, mines got 137kon the clock now...

I would probably look at paying more toasted £12 or £13k for it with that mileage

At that mileage if it can break it has already broken and been fixed as a general rule.

If the gearbox oil has been changed at its service intervalls then you may be lucky with it. Don't believe the bull about "sealed for life".

Balljoints and things wear, but generally start to go around 60K from experience, so you may well be on your third set by now, but any clunking from the front of the car is likely to be these and not the most expensive repair.

IMHO. i would go couple of years older with less miles, for me 155k is too much to buy at, alright if you already own it and its running fine 2004 black Vogue TD6

I'm in the trade and always buy as new as I can afford and ignore milage 100000 on the motorway is usually the same as 20 to 30000 stop start town journeys generally speaking high milage cars are better looked after as the customer relys on them more 2011 4.4tdv8 vogue black with black

Good thinking but you cannot ignore the law of "Mechanical Wear" Neutral
