United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Zambezi Silver

Well iv had just shy of 30 cars since I turned 17 nine years ago so it's only right iv had a few bikes aswell Smile started off with a zx6r when I was 19 then had a 2 r1's up until 2011 when two young children put me off riding on the roads as I was just being stupid so I took up club racing last year, started on a k6 gsxr 600 then moved on to a 07 r6, little 600's are great fun to race/track but r1's are perfect for the roads Smile tried adding a pic of a 100mph + wheelie on my blue r1 but vids don't seem to work, I agree with a few comments above regarding not understanding if your not a biker, I love cars but there isn't a car that has the soul of a any bike, plus riding a bike is much more rewarding when you get it right

Not in order

Scotland 2018 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Montalcino Red

Had a black 2008 R6 but sold it nearly two years ago, currently looking to get another bike miss the rush you get when you get it right. Looking at an 2004 R1 the same as you have in the pic my favourite R1 also looking at BMW K1200s don't know which way to go. (Hitting the 40 this year)Going to the TT this year with a couple of mates for a couple of days so will wait and see seems to be plenty for sale at the moment but I guess that will change once we get a bit of dry weather. Gone

The 5vy r1 is an awesome bike, the silver and black r1 was a 5pw but was actually an 05 plate as it was pre registered, both excellent bikes and the 5pw can be picked up for £2-3k

The Hayabusa that tried to kill me is coming back together, new brackets gauges and a Ti exhaust, airbox mod and later programmable ecu, just starting to get the bodywork back from the paintshop.

GSXR has traction control, quickshiter, 168.9 bhp , ohilns shock, reworked forks, brembo master cylinder and road legal track tyres.

As discussed elsewhere, bikes are where its at for speed. Someone did point out that a multi million pound F1 is quicker around a track than a 1000cc sports bike but i really didn't think getting into an argument using that logic was worthwhile, i could see MIG 23s being brought into the discussion. MIG would proberbly be cheaper than an F1 though !!!!

These days ( now 52 ) the weather forecast has to be checked , the roads bone dry and the sun high in the sky before i venture out. But when you do , the feeling is fantastic. I grew up in South London and the bike scene was huge, Chelsea bridge, Heston services and box hill to name a few. Back then the gumball boys would race around the m25 and we had great fun destroying Ferraris and Porsches, at all.

Anyway , had the R1 from new and only got the Gixer this year. Had about 30 odd bikes at this stage starting with a 350lc. Handling and brakes on the Gixer are superb and 300 kph is only 20 seconds away. Fun and very very cheap compared to any car that can match or beat the straghtline speed. 2015 4.4 AB

Only the XJR1300 remains. The V-Strom has been sold as has my wife's CB400.

2006 Ducati ST3 because having one potential money pit just isn’t living dangerously enough. LOL

Triumph Trophy 1200 now, big comfy tourer.

Dolph, I'm impressed to read that your GSX R has a "quickshiter". I had the 1100 back in the 80s, great fun all round Europe until I wrote it off in '87. Only Range Rovers since 1988

The GSXR has the Bazzaz system, which has traction control ( handlebar mounted control, 10 positions ), with 2 engine maps , 1 for full power and 1 with limted power in the lower gears for the wet conditions. The quick shifter is awesome and on full throttle it sounds lovely with the gear changes flowing into one another without hesitation. The bike also comes with a slipper clutch as standard which takes some getting used to but makes corner entry alot safer !!!

I had a 1989 1100k after 6 no. GSXR 750s but while the power was amazing it didn't handle.and I traded it back in after 4 days. The maddest bike i ever had was an RG500 with a stan stephens tune, it was scary fast and you couldn't keep the front wheel on the ground. Also did about 3 miles to the gallon. The slabside GSXR of 1987 was gorgeous and my first superbike was a 1986 GSXR 750, i drag raced a few of your 1100s and thought I had hit neutral after 3 rd gear, they would just disappear!!! 2015 4.4 AB
