I'm at about 4mm on my Scorpion Zeros and looking to change tyres as I'm going to be driving in Europe during the winter.

I've seen a few threads in here about the Verde potentially being a better tyre and notice they now do a 50 profile as well as the 55.

Has anyone run these on a L322 for a while and got any experience? Or am i better just sticking with Zeros?

I have run Verde’s on 2 L494’s and I have to say that they are a cracking all season tyre. They are good in the wet giving plenty of grip on winding country roads and hold their own in the snow. They are not a dedicated winter tyre so don’t expect them to be as good as a set of Nokians, but they will get you to where you want to go.

slightly larger tyre would seem a good way to reduce highway fuel consumption a little? __

From memory I think I am running 255/55R20’s. I was lucky as they appear to come as a standard fit on the RRS?

Be aware of recent changes that mean some European countries (Especially the Alpine ones) may require the three Peaks Snowflake symbol indication a "Winter Tyre".

Well they are certainly marked “M+S”.

They will not have a snowflake unless dedicated Winter tyres/compound. The law used to allow M + S in most countries but the Alpine ones have or are changing to dedicated Winters with three peaks snowflake symbol. Been discussed on D3.co.uk.

I'm looking for a tyre for all year round really,. The zeros seem good that I have now, but thinking the Verde have 10 years or more R&D which might make them better.

I see their energy rating is a C vs a B for Zeros. does that make any difference on a FF?

they also seem to offer 285/40/22 in the scorpion verde

I currently run 285/35/22 on my 22" wheels.. but this may be option for me next.

FYI Verde’s are usually considerably more expensive than Scorpions sir...

Craig, I'm trying to determine if they are all-round better.

Does the premium price (normally) reflect that? __

Sorry chaps in my opinion there isn't a price too high when it comes to tyres always fit the best available for the task - I would never be able to live with myself if something happened tyre related because \i wanted to save a few quid - just my opinion
