Where are all the really nice 07/08 SC cars?

Hi all,

I've been looking for a 07/08 SC for quite some time but it seems that low mileage cars in really good condition don't seem to exist?! I've recently been to look at two 08 plate cars and they were both so scruffy it was ridiculous particularly when you consider their mileage and the money that was being asked for them!

Guess I just need to remain patient!

If anyone has one that they want to sell then please give me a shout Smile

I'm assuming you are referring to the 07 OF? Not a big fan of the OF cars - each to their own I guess!

I wasn't specifically looking for an OF, but mine came along with a few key items that made it the one I wanted. I spent 8 months looking for a good SC, in my price range, and with all the bits I wanted, but still had to compromise on a few bits.
The simple fact is that there just aren't that many SCs about of that age. Bear in mind it was the era of the banking crisis, credit crunch, and huge pushes towards diesels. For a few years, petrol simply wasn't fashionable.

The worst bits on my SC (the one for sale) are the bumpers. They could do with a bit of looking at to get perfect. I seriously considered removing them, and fitting really good, clean standard bumpers. It doesn't have Overfinch bonnet and boot badges (I prefer a more understated look), and the 22" wheels were too harsh on rural roads (and a bit tatty). So a simple bumper swap would turn mine into a very nice normal(ish) SC, with the bonus of having a complete set of OF bumpers and wheels to sell!

2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aruba

As Blair says ... the stupidly thirsty car which was basically the most expensive of the range in a time where money was tight makes it rare in terms of numbers. Then add 8 to 10 years of them being used means that finding a low mileage perfect on is simply a low probability.

to be honest, thats going to be the case of any 8 to 10 year old car ... the perfect ones will more than likely be gone ... they simply cant stay perfect forever. ( and if you they do stay perfect, they aint being used properly! ) V8 or else ...
