Question is. Do I wait for the iPhone app to be updated or take the car in to LR to investigate which probably means changing over infotainment units. Sadly when I first bought the car new in April they worked perfectly! So I’m guessing it’s the iPhone iOS update and the incontrol app software..

Mine does not work well either after the update. Apps like Spotify connect for 10 seconds then disconnect. the same with AccuWeather. I have another phone still on IOS 10 and it works fine. Real shame that the system is so bad now. Land Rover has really let the ball drop.

I guess we are unable to update our phones until they update the app each time...ridiculous situation.

Post IOS 11 update the In Control app is complete rubbish . Shame on you LR. Please replace with Apple Car Play.

Really disappointing and detracts from a good car.

An update for the Incontol app was released yesterday to address the issues stemming from Apple’s IOS 11 update. Hopefully it will actually work now.

I installed the latest update and even reset everything but sadly it still goes through the ‘retry’ connect/disconnect cycle when you try using it. My local LR garage has no clue and have raised with LR customer care.

Interestingly, Bluetooth connectivity for the car is only up to iOS 10 so maybe the car itself can’t cope with apples latest software.

The only thing I need incontrol apps for is Spotify really.

Okay latest.

After having no luck I backed up my iPhone completely restored it through itunes and now everything works perfectly. No bluetooth issues and the incontrol apps are stable. So it was nothing to do with the Rangie it was apple!!

Last week in changed from an iPhone 6 to a Samsung s8 and since then the app has been faultless and much quicker to respond.  Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Mine on Android is the same but if you "clear the cache" its ok till the next time -- no need to do a full re install ( settings / general / apps / app info / remote / storage ) Pity as it used to work fine on Android

Clearing cache does not work on mine.

Only a reinstall fetches the latest journeys

As said every other feature works even service mode !

Update

Android version 7.1.1 on the Nexus 6 is the problem.

Version 5.1.1 on an old Samsung works as it should.

Google must have cocked something up in July......

Don't realy use it but having parked in a premier inn before the LRO show in the morning when I woke up I just thought I would check the car was still there.

God, some people are never satisfied, you probably only paid 90 grand for the car, you can't have everything!!

The more I come on this forum the more I realise how lucky I must be with my car, I only have a slow infotainment system!

I'd love to meet a top LR exec at a party and have a chat!
