noise when steering wheel turned either way

Just picked up my 405 ...and already off to a poor start. Sad

got half way home (dealer is a good distance from home) and noticed when I came off the motorway, that when I turn the steering wheel either way a noise comes from the front. Hard to tell which side , just "the front". The more you turn the wheel the louder it gets.

Best I can describe the sound is a cross between a whirring and imagine high pressure fluid mixed with air in a pipe.

Obviously I need to speak to the dealer but just wondered if anyone might have experience or similar.

When I test drove the car it was fine. The only thing thats changed since is that I had them put deployable steps on - so perhaps tech service bulletin LTB00588v2 may come into play.

any thoughts appreciated.

Problem sorted. For reference if any has this issue in the future and has just had deployable steps fitted then make sure that they use the rubber shrouds on the active response pipes that run next to the mounting brackets. See technical services bulletin LTB00588.
