Hi marks just done my o ring on the egr cooler and you have to remove the viscous fan and cowling then the front engine cover to get egr cooler |

Interestingly, a couple of months ago I replaced the egr cooler and the offending hose jubilee clip by simply removing the front top engine cover. It is a bit compact but it can be done without a lot of dismantling. I used a small ratchet and socket on the jubilee clip. |

You can scrap the whole egr assy including the cooler by fitting an egr delete unit, blank for the exhaust manifold and 2x hose blank off's which I think are 15mm bore 2007 TDV8 VSE

Do you need to have the ecu remapped if the egr is removed? |

On a TD6 no, just plug the vacuum hose. The best thing you will do for your car, the engine will love you for it 2007 TDV8 VSE

I could do with changing my thermostat so whilst in that area I may as well do the EGR delete as well I suppose. |

Tempted to loose mine as well tbh. The noise it generates is horrendous.
