A few members have PM�d me asking what my new one is, I don�t get much time to be on the forum these days due to a number of life changes, but I thought I�d show you what I�ve moved to.

I sold the L322 5.0 SC in less than 18 hours from advertising it, the buyer was tickled pink and I got my full asking price, which made it feel better. I�d already found the L405 and was negotiating on it with the LR Dealer.

It�s a 4.4 SDV8 Vogue SE, Causeway grey, full jet interior and a very high spec that includes;

Exec seat package in the rear
Front and rear massage seats
RSE
Pan roof with alcantara
Upgraded audio
Lots of parking aids
4 zone climate

Since buying it I�ve done my own Black Pack and bought a brand new set of 2017 Tech Grey 22� Turbines and tyres off a new car.

It certainly is a different world to the L322.

That is rather nice; terrific spec as well. Congratulations.

It looks lovely and the colour with those turbines look fantastic, well done. Not sure if it has the upgraded audio as the VSE comes with the same one as in the AB and both have to tick the options list for the 1700 watt signature system.

Looking at the back of the front seats there aren't any speakers. This indicates that it doesn't have the Signature audio system fitted. 2019 L405 SDV8 Autobiography

I am still learning about the L405 and what went on the spec lists, good spot, thanks.

They have a great deal of presence compared to the L322, I especially love the signature LED lighting, HBA, BT Audio and the newer RSE controls and headphones, much simpler than the one I had before.

Funny though that the Voice Control still has a sound carried over from the P38 RR, if you start a command and then cancel it. Those who had a P38 will know what I mean. Discovery 4 HSE

How did you do the black pack yourself? Did you buy it or paint the existing trim?

I had the trim painted mostly, but found a couple of genuine parts online at bargain prices so just bought those and fitted them, along with new clips.

I will warn you, when replacing the rear tailgate lettering, the panel is not metal and the paint is softer than the bonnet. I have replaced so many sets of bonnet letters on my Land Rovers over the years I can't remember the number but, this one got me and I damaged the paint with my seemingly very soft plastic tool. Had to get the top tailgate fully resprayed as a result.
