Royal Mews Buckingham Palace - new delivery

Sorry it's only a Discovery but I was at The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace (great tour) and a lorry with a trailer started unloading a couple of cars - a new Discovery and a Jag XF saloon.

Looks like they were doing a swap and taking away this D4:

Pretty sure they don't pay VAT

Was quite hoping to see more cars like a Royal Range Rover (that's an RRR I guess) - only one Daimler Limo on display. It's more horses and carriages. But wow the carriages are incredible - a great tour and look into the workings of the nicest stables probably in the world.

I recon Land Rover will just lend them to the Royal family for free and swap them for new ones every few months.

I mean you really couldn't get any better advertisement for the brand.

Wonder what happens to them after? Presumably they sell them on.

Also, are they armoured or just standard I wonder?

2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Aintree Green

I understand they are standard cars in the main and part of the “Brand Ambassador” fleet which JLR have. HM has a 58 plate car whch is hers. The boy William has one kitted out with blue lights in the indicators for when he’s being driven about London with SEG clearing his path. Got to get the nipper to school y’see.....
