Hand break gator removal

Hi guys anybody got any tips advice on how to remove the gator cover off the handbrake.

I think the gator then just clips out of the center console.

Thank goodness my handbrake has a gaiter. But then, we don't have alligators in Oz, only crocodiles Twisted Evil Ron B. VK2OTC
