Quick query for oily hand enthusiasts. How much of a swine is the replacement of the above? I'm supposed to be taking the family off with the caravan to see my ailing mother for a week, leaving Sunday, but it sounds like the drive belt tensioner is not long for this world and I don't particularly want to risk it.

With such short notice it's proving difficult to book into a specialist. If I know it isn't too much of a swine then I can do it myself this Saturday, but I'm a fair weather spanner wielder with a 1-year-old so time isn't exactly easy to come by!

Problem solved - got it booked in last minute locally so I won't have to spend an afternoon making up new swear words and bleeding profusely.
