I test drove a 2013 L405 SDV8 with 99600kms (62250miles) and I noted the following:

- very slight turbo lag. A lot less than what I found when I test drove a L322 SDV8. I was actually quite surprise at the speed with which it picked up speed.
- Slight vibration at idle - probably linked to the fact that it is a diseasel - something I don't feel on my 10-year old RRSC 4.2
- Harsher ride than on my 2007 RRSC - not sure if it is linked to the 21 inch wheels fitted to the car or if the road we used for the test drive was just in worse condition than those I normally travel.

Still has to test drive a L405 5.0 Supercharged before making a decision; though the SDV8 I tested was the Autobiography with the Rear Executive seats which, for me is a decision breaker, which was priced a lot lower (GBP10 000) than other similar vehicles. Am I tempted - most definitely - only thing is now to decide whether I would be able to live with the SDV8 as my first choice was always the SC.
