@ Gaz, and generally more "scenic" routes. Interesting point is that where the motorway is an upgrade of an existing RN and not a new section then there is no toll because there is no alternative. A good example is the A20 from Vierzon to Brive which is toll free.

Sorry to get a bit off topic Gary, but I often try to imagine this epic journey from Coventry to Geneva in an e type before any motorway or channel tunnel.
