Had some limited feedback from dealer today suggesting similar - weight/PEHV mechanics thing. I know whacking 22s on it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's a bit of a deal breaker if we can't get a work-around on it. Looking to run it as a company car and the Phev makes it somewhat more doable. |

According to the brochure the PHEV will deliver ‘up to 26MPG’ on long runs for ‘up to 450’ mile per tank of fuel. The only advantage of the PHEV appears to be for town driving, and I’d probably choose another vehicle if that’s all I did. For me the 4.4 remains the sweet spot in the engine line up when considering MPG and swiftness. MY23 D350 HSE

Or you would really consider the P400e if you were living in Norway, cause then you'd only have to pay £12 extra new-car tax (on top of the 25% VAT), in stead of the £43k extra new-car tax for the TDV6, or the £86k extra for the V8 petrol, or the £66k extra for the SDV8...

Right - had a definite from the dealer. They will not fit the PHEV with 22 inch wheels. In short the reason/excuse is weight saving and fitting would invalidate the warranty. So i imagine sidesteps will not be an option either. Absolutely gutted. Being able to run the vehicle as a company car was a real plus for me in my circumstance and would imagine there'll be a fair few people with similar outlook. I'd already "mentally moved in' as well !! |

I spoke with our dealer today, and he claimed that both deployable steps and deployable tow bar would be a retailer fit option for the P400e. And that one could order 22 inch wheels |

The local dealer has adjusted his promises: Deployable side steps can be retrofitted (for NOK 65.000 - appr £6300), but it is not possible to mount electric tow bar. Fixed tow bar can be added, but it's expensive (£2700) and will be visible at all times |
