That's why you need to already hjave both before meeting the future Mrs Horse86 Very Happy

I always laugh at the "allowed" posts. If you both have your hobbies or she gets that kitchen remodel....then you sure as heck can have a toy or 2 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Hmm - have also noticed it seems to be PHEV specific that you cannot spec 22 inch wheels on the configurator.
I've got an SDV8 looking spot on...anyone know of anything specific PHEV wise that restricts wheel size?

Had some limited feedback from dealer today suggesting similar - weight/PEHV mechanics thing. I know whacking 22s on it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's a bit of a deal breaker if we can't get a work-around on it. Looking to run it as a company car and the Phev makes it somewhat more doable.

According to the brochure the PHEV will deliver ‘up to 26MPG’ on long runs for ‘up to 450’ mile per tank of fuel. The only advantage of the PHEV appears to be for town driving, and I’d probably choose another vehicle if that’s all I did. For me the 4.4 remains the sweet spot in the engine line up when considering MPG and swiftness. MY23 D350 HSE

Or you would really consider the P400e if you were living in Norway, cause then you'd only have to pay £12 extra new-car tax (on top of the 25% VAT), in stead of the £43k extra new-car tax for the TDV6, or the £86k extra for the V8 petrol, or the £66k extra for the SDV8...

It would have been fantastic to be able to buy the SDV8 version, but I'm now really considering an upgrade from our 07 TDV8 to the P400e AB version Smile

(However - if you're a Tesla fan, Norway has the best subsidies in the world for pure e-cars: Zero VAT, zero car tax....)

EDIT: Today the government presented the 2018 national budget, including adjusted car taxation... the P400e will be taxed slightly (£2k) higher....

EDIT 2: Observed that I had x10 wrong on 2 numbers, not used to use £. Now the figures should be right Thumbs Up

Right - had a definite from the dealer. They will not fit the PHEV with 22 inch wheels. In short the reason/excuse is weight saving and fitting would invalidate the warranty. So i imagine sidesteps will not be an option either. Absolutely gutted. Being able to run the vehicle as a company car was a real plus for me in my circumstance and would imagine there'll be a fair few people with similar outlook.

I'd already "mentally moved in' as well !! Censored Big Cry

I spoke with our dealer today, and he claimed that both deployable steps and deployable tow bar would be a retailer fit option for the P400e. And that one could order 22 inch wheels Confused

Haha - good to know everyone at RR has their story straight !! Banging Head

Well - my business partner and I are after one PHEV each - with 22s and deployable side steps.
Build sheets ready to go..even had build slot deposits down with local RR dealer. Literally would be ordering immediately..

Other than the nice Norwegian dealer packing 22s....if anyone finds a UK dealer doing the same - please let me know.
I appreciate it's all super new and info will keep coming out...so things might change in due course anyway so we'll probably just wait it out a few months and see what develops.

Honestly i thought i'd be able to have my Waynes World moment this week. "Not today my good man, i'm feeling saucy! Do you accept...long term car finance?!"

The local dealer has adjusted his promises: Deployable side steps can be retrofitted (for NOK 65.000 - appr £6300), but it is not possible to mount electric tow bar. Fixed tow bar can be added, but it's expensive (£2700) and will be visible at all times Sad
