United States 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Stornoway Grey
[For Sale] Powerhouse uk 4.2 upgraded supercharger snout

I decided as part of my “rolling restoration” to service the supercharger shout and fit a new coupling .
After speaking to powerhouse I decided to get a machined snout and upgraded pulley .
Bought the full thing , to minimize downtime .
Then my car got wrecked Mad Big Cry

It’s still as it was delivered , in its box .
And the new coupling that I bought from an Eaton service center is with it .

Will be shipped from California , so could take around a week .

I will be uploading pictures to all my ads tomm0row .

Thanks
Ian

I was a little bit premature posting last night , and I’m only now doing research on pricing .
Sorry about that , I did everything backwards Rolling Eyes

After deciding that as the machining for a smaller pulley is minimum I would go with that , as it can easily be changed out in situ for a bigger or stock pulley should I decide I didn’t like the characteristics .

I want with powerhouse after seeing what an eBay vendor here in the USA deems “acceptable” minimum machining ...
With the powerhouse snout the machining is minimal and just enough to clear the 10% pulley .

I looked and I paid 383 shipped , plus 120 for the outright purchase on the snout to minimize downtime , plus around 30 for the coupling .
So around 533 total .
I’m thinking 383 shipped , that way you’re getting the coupling and snout for free .
And , you end up able to sell your existing snout ...

EDIT :
Comes with oil , so all that is needed is your labor costs and a little gasket sealer .
The snout bolts to the main-body using a gasket sealer rather than a gasket .

Also bear in mind : I bought the thing outright to minimize the downtime in shipping the snout to be machined and new bearings etc then shipping back to me , as this would take over a week ..
But there will still be a little downtime involved as most gasket sealers state a 25 hour cure time , so although it isn’t a big job and can easily be done at home in a day , you’ll be down for another day until you can add the supercharger oil ....
(this is why I had “stored” engine mounts and belt tensioner etc. to be done during the “curing” period )

If you remove the engine cover and can hear a sound like marbles rattling around the front of your supercharger , you need a new coupling (at least) .
As the snout needs removing to change the coupling , it made sense to be to get the snout rebuilt with new bearings as the supercharger is “sealed for life” and never gets an oil change during servicing .

.

If you also want the air-con belt and tensioner , I’ll ship that with it for an extra 120 ...
