Hi Mine developed a thump last year - although it was more noticeable when selecting reverse or drive .. turned out was a rear CV joint , perhaps worth a check ?

Mine thumps when I let off the throttle going slowly and then accelerate again.

Had similar before my front diff coupling and prop failed a few weeks back.. you couldn’t feel any play in front prop at all then it went with a bang.. had been whistling a few days prior to its failure as well. |

Mine has been doing it for about 4 years and never got any worse, part of me has been willing it to finally break so I know what it is but it's not really bad but just sounds harsh when it does it |

Nothing to do with the rubber doughnut joint at the front end of the front prop shaft by any chance?
