2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aintree Green

Countdown to delivery - collected 30/9/17!

Mine went into build on Wednesday (13th) lunchtime and ought to leave the production line about now (Friday lunchtime); we're now in the lap of the Land Rover delivery gods as to how quickly they can get it down to North Devon...

Most likely delivery date will be Saturday the 30th  :D

Are you by any chance using County Landrover in Barnstaple? Good guys down there on the sales side and the CEO is v approachable.
Not tried the service though.

Yes, it's County. Very good people to deal with all round.

Their service has mostly been superb and when they have got it wrong (which they have), they've fallen over backwards to put it right again. Loan cars, when I've needed them, have never been an issue and they've never tried to fob me off with an XE or an Evoque. They've always had something decent waiting for me, including a top spec, 65 plate, 110 Defender!

I was notified that it's built and was released by the factory on Friday the 15th and it could arrive at the dealer anytime, they're certainly hoping that it'll be there in time for the coming weekend (23/9/17). If it is, we'll be driving up to see it and take some photos

I can answer that one!

From one end of the production line to the other takes 45 hours, including a 6 hour pause for the paint to cure and then it's held in the compound for an average of 6 hours (on top of the 45 hours) before being dispatched. Unless quality control pull it out of the line for rectification and then it could take a lot longer....

Having started on Wednesday, at around 12.30 and then having left the line on Friday afternoon, that sounds like it went through without a hitch
