Exactly, as happy says.

So , how long to yank the dash? I've been saying it's quite doable in under an hour...

There was a post on RR.net the other day where someone stated that aux-in (aside from the ipod) didn't work on pre07 vehicles. Was/is this a prob on your RR?

@Steve, IIRC the AUX works with the red and white phono to 3.5mm mini jack with no issue. ditto the USB. I'll re-check when I get mine back at the end of the week.

@Ben, ID3 tag info is displayed as usual so track name and artists etc. The ACM as I think is previously stated emulates an MP3 CD changer (hence the ID3 tags) with the first 5 'discs' on the touch screen being the first 5 alphabetical playlists on the iPod or iPhone and the 6th 'disc' being everything on the device.

You can still access the repeat/random function and it will remember even with disconnecting the iPod/ignition off etc.

Generally the iPod is connected via a loose cable in the glove box though with careful preparation (and more dismantling) there may be enough cable to reach the centre console.

(Mine is an older iPod and usually is just left locked in the glove box so I didn't try this YMMV)

Steering wheel controls work ok and the sound quality is much much better than the 3.5mm mini jack AUX connection behind the centre console.

HTH

Steve

As I understand it. No. The only way I heard of is via the yellow, White and red Phonos with the official cable- and then only on the rear screens. AFAIK there is no way of getting iPod videos on the front screen.

Happy/intrigued to be proven wrong.
