When turning in and rrs a light illuminates the inside of the bend at certain slower speeds. I thought my 07 rr would have the same? I see the sidelights have more than one bulb but it does not seem to illuminate? Is thisnthe same thing? Anyway to test it whilst stationary? |

Tim, exactly what did last night! Thebbuld did not light? Am I right in assuming Thaddeus extra bulb in the sidelight is the build that should ignite? |

It's an option on the Vogue, so most don't have it I believe.

Fox: I assumed mine didn't have it but I can clearly see 2 bulbs in the sidelight! Wouldn't be there if not installed? |

Does the headlamp beam move when negotiating bends? IF no then its either broke or not fitted if yes.......... Are the bulbs servicable? If no change, if yes............. Does the the adaptive check light illuminate and extinguish? If in doubt rtm....... Ian |

My SC has adaptive lights, and its obvious as soon as you drive in the dark. The extra side light bulbs light the road on most bends when driving less than 30 mph.

Hi our TDV8 07 Vogue has these lights. They drive me bonkers as I always think something is trying to drive up the inside as I turn. Very effective.

So do the extra bulbs in the side light indicate adaptive lighting or not? |

I wonder if your car has had an upgrade at sometime, adaptives are not possible to retro-fit without a lot of electrical changes but somebody might have replaced the originals in an attempt to have them.

Nice story but utter bobbins I'm afraid. There's some element of realism in it though as a lot of the loom was redundant in low spec cars, but large pieces of hardware being installed and not plugged in is pure fiction. Not sure you should be reading this bit. |

So did some digging and what I could see was not a chromed bulb but in fact a blank. So this got me thinking! Hella do a retrofit static bend lighting kit, the proper name for the bit I wanted. What about fitting this electronic gubbins, as it does all the speed/indicator sensor stuff but use the blank bulb holder in the original light? Thoughts please! |
