I had this. It was caused by some ducting not having been attached properly when the car was built. Having identified the sound by accompanying me on a drive the dealer workshop then took the top off the dash and looked for insecure fittings, apparently the cause was obvious once the area was exposed. After I got the car back there was a clicking from a different area, so it went back again for reassembly and no more noises after that. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

Well I bit the bullet and with help from the good people on here took the dash top off to try and sort out my annoying buzz/rattle. The only real problem was the 2 10mm bolts that secure the bottom of the airbag to the cross brace strut thing under the dash, that was a to get at. Anyway I couldn't find anything obvious save for the sound deadening that had come adrift from the dash top. I resecured this with contact adhesive and then bolted it all back together and so far it looks like the rattle has gone, a result and a few hundred pounds saved. |
