Just in the process of renewing breakdown cover and reading small print says not exceeding 3500kg

OOPs car is 2700kg and caravan is 1500kg

Used green flag for years, with the caravan club and for the last 3 years with the ff.

also check on length, some of the breakdown companies will not cover twin axles, and some crafty insurance companies put a max length in their small print too.

I have AA, but haven't paid attention to the towing and caravan clauses, I hear that Green Flag are decent, they have the 3500kg limit too but do say that they will recover any standard caravan with no specific exclusions. See P7 of the attached policy from their web page......Just rang a bell. No affiliation.

I think that the 3500 is so they don't get folks covering LGV 7.5 tonners on the policy, and applies to the towing vehicle only, so they can be loaded onto recovery wagons without putting them overweight, the towed vehicle will be treated separately weight wise I would assume as they aren't "loaded" There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

+1 on the green flag option and being caravan club members means a good deal. We have premium cover which means onward travel to campsite and then recovery after the hols if needed, home call, me, both our kids covered plus SWMBO in whatever cars we / they are traveling in etc etc.

No length limits and the FF is covered as under 3.5T.

£138.00 all in.

Have used them twice in the past (not the FF) and found the service to be spot on.

Was once with the RAC and was told our outfit (RRC and twin axle Sterling) was too long to recover - too long that is unless we were in the caravan and camping club - then its not too long - cheeky ****kers!!

Yeap, Green flag Red Pennant through the caravan club, sorry motorhome and caravan club. Been with them for years. Take you to site, do your holibobs, and bring you home if not fixed by then. No restrictions on length weight etc, where others do.

Same here, caravan club/green flag is the only supplier to the best of my knowledge without terms and conditions. They just send what is needed to get your outfit to its destination and if you can't get it fixed they will take you home too...
