Also, if the leather itself is stretched you need to put some heat on it, very good hairdryer that goes hot or a heat gun will get it almost as tight as new, but if you can get your hands on a steamer that is even better.

Do it before it is resprayed. Porsche 911 (996)

fitted my new seat this aft , what a difference it makes , well worth the expense and time , so if your driver seat is in poor health , think about a new foam , you wont regret it

believe me pal , it is great , depends on your mechanical skills really pal , if your a competent DIYer then 2 1/2 hours ish , don't really need much kit to do it either , think there is a bit in wiki on doing the job Wink

Simon just resurrecting this this thread - when you changed your seat foam, did you need to take the seat out?

Does anyone else know if I need to remove the whole seat to get the leather cover off?

Want to replace the seat base cushion.
