Hi guys,

On the lookout for a Range Rover L405 with a budget between £45k-50k with mileage sub 50k.

My requirements are that it must have creame interior with a pan roof!

Any advice?

I did look at one but it missed the first service and turned out it had a new engine in 2015 which the trader failed to tell me about!

Struggling to find one at the right price with the right spec!

I take mine to an Indy - so that wouldn't bother me - but a gap between 10k and 32k services would........

Looks a decent car for the money (except the wheels IMHO)

Appears not many owners keep up with the servicing on these cars!

I'm not going to lie, I kind've like those wheels but preferably I want the Turbine ones!

If you go on to the 'Approved Used' section of the Land Rover UK website you can search dealer stock across the whole UK, setting parameters such as your price range, light interior and maybe also wheel size and then see what is available and how far away from you. There are plenty of cars sub £50,000 now, over 30 with light interiors when I looked just now. Only Range Rovers since 1988

What's your issue with non LR servicing if you're prepared to buy from a non LR franchise anyway (you would not be getting a 2 year LR warranty either and would probably be paying similar money to a franchised dealer)?

There should be no problem with non LR servicing provided the manufacturer's service schedule has been followed.

You would be advised though to check whether there is a record of the corrosion inspections being done becacue LR might invalidate a claim within the 6 year warranty if not strictly followed.

No issue really, would've may expected it to be serviced from LR in it's first 3 years, especially with the warranty etc.

I quite like the look of this actually and could always change the wheels. Are the Turbine Wheels hard to get hold of?

Don't like the look of that towbar sticking out but that that tucks away right with it being electronic?

A nice car but a bit overpriced when there are at least half a dozen similar spec 2014 VSE's available (under 50k miles), and even a 2015 (28k miles), all from LR dealers with 2 years approved used warranty......

Granted they may not be the colour/spec combo you want but if you look around for a month or so i expect you will find the exact one for you. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

I like the wheels - but I would - I have a full Overfinch conversion on my 2010 SC

Would you guys be put off with the ones with higher mileage? 70k-80k?

I thought if I go through the LR network and buy from an approved dealer with warranty then this might be okay?

Everyone has their mileage thresholds. I definitely wouldn't buy an L405 without an LR warranty but that's just me.

Usually also the right to extend ..... for a fee!

For me, I wanted low mileage and decent warranty. I thought that would be difficult going into 13 to 15 year.

I could have had a 15 with 50 to 60 miles on, however my L322 had only done 49000.

I eventually found my exact spec with electric towbar on 13 year 63 plate with 18000 miles. Purchased from LR MD with 2 years full warranty and road side assistance.

This means if I want to keep the car for 3 years I should be able to place a 12 month warranty on it for the last year before I jump towards newer l405.

Good luck hope you find your spec. Took me 6 months to find what I wanted. The only thing it didn't have was deployable side steps, just looking to buy them now and get them fitted. ....ouch......  ------------------------------------------
